User Guide – Deworming
The Deworming section in IdeasFarm allows you to record and consult all antiparasitic treatments applied to each animal, directly linking product usage with the Supplies module inventory and automatically calculating doses, costs, and recommended frequencies.
Overview
At the top, a graphical timeline shows the dewormings performed and the estimated date of the next application for the current year, according to the frequency defined in the protocol or inventory.
Below is the records table with the following fields:

Value automatically calculated based on the product quantity. |

Recommended period until the next application. |

Register a New Deworming
Clicking “New Deworming” opens the form to record the details:

Date
Select the application date.

Type of Record
There are two options:
- Protocol → allows selecting a predefined protocol in IdeasFarm.
- Inventory → select a product registered in the Supplies module.

Product / Drug
- Select the antiparasitic medication from the inventory or protocol.
- If it does not exist, it can be added via quick access (New Product or Add Stock).

Unit and Route of Administration
- Unit → determines the measurement unit (ml, mg, IU).
- Route → indicates how it is administered (oral, injectable, pour-on, etc.).

Dose
- Enter the applied amount.
- Specify whether the dose is per head or calculated according to the animal's weight.

Milk/Meat Withdrawal
Record if the product requires a withdrawal period before selling milk or meat, specifying the number of days.

Frequency
Define the recommended interval between applications. This will update the graphical timeline with the next date.

Additional Supplies
You can add other supplies linked to the treatment (e.g., gloves, syringes).

Observations
Free text field to add any additional comments about the treatment.
💡 Practical Tips
- Keeping products updated in inventory ensures that costs are calculated automatically.
- Always check the frequency suggested by the product to correctly schedule the next application.
- If the milk/meat withdrawal option is enabled, IdeasFarm will generate alerts to prevent marketing errors.
