The Milk Production section allows you to record and analyze daily and cumulative production data for each animal. This tool integrates information on liters produced, milk quality, and pasture efficiency, automatically generating lactation curves and comparative summaries.

1. Main Graphs

At the top, two dynamic graphs are displayed:

• Production (liters/day or Kg milk/day):

Shows the animal’s lactation curve, with comparison between previous lactations and the herd average.
o Allows identification of production peak, persistence, and drops.
o Each lactation is color-coded for easy differentiation.

• Fat and Protein (%):

Displays how milk composition evolves throughout the lactation.
o Fat (%) and Protein (%) are shown in separate curves.
o Adjusted averages are also calculated.

2. Lactation Summary

Below the graphs, a table shows a summary of each recorded lactation:

Field	Description
Total Production (PP305)	Projected production at 305 days of lactation.
Kg/Cow/Day	Average daily production during the lactation.
Fat and Protein (%)	Average and adjusted values.
IFI	Individual efficiency index automatically generated by IdeasFarm.
Start and End Dates	Each lactation includes start and end dates, plus an Adjust button to recalibrate calculations.

3. Daily Records Table

At the bottom, the daily milking records are listed:

Field	Description / Details
Date	Day of the record.
Lactation	Corresponding lactation.
Lactation Day	Days since calving.
Milk (Kg/day)	Daily production measured.
Pasture Conversion (Kg milk/Kg DM)	Ratio between production and estimated dry matter intake.
Milk Quality	Percentages of Fat, Protein, Somatic Cells (SCC), and Total Bacterial Count (TBC). — Fat (%) — Protein (%) — Somatic Cells (SCC) — Total Bacterial Count (TBC)
Supplement (%)	Record of supplementation in the diet that day.
Observations	Free text for noting incidents or additional details.

4. Event Recording

In the upper-right corner of the Milk Production module, the New button offers two options:

• New Production:

Allows recording a milking or production for a specific day.
o Main fields: Production (Kg/day), Fat (%), Protein (%), SCC, TBC, Observations.
o Can be marked as Official Record if it comes from a laboratory or official control.

• New Drying:

Allows recording the end of a lactation.
o Includes fields for production adjustments at closure, applied inputs, and average cost per Kg of milk.
o Will be reflected in the lactation curve and summary.

📌 Practical Tips

Record at least one official monthly control (with fat, protein, SCC, TBC analysis) to have reliable milk quality indicators.
Use lactation curves to compare persistence between cows and detect nutrition or health issues.
Use pasture conversion data to evaluate paddock efficiency at each lactation stage.
