User Guide – Farm Map in IdeasFarm

The Farm Map is the central tool to visually and graphically manage all productive areas of your farm: paddocks, crops, pens, maternity areas, quarantines, and infirmary. From here, you can plan grazing, record crops, manage animal handling areas, and track the status of each plot in real-time.

Main Features

1. Satellite Map View

Each productive area is outlined with polygons of different colors.
Basic indicators are displayed, such as:

Indicator	Description
Area code and name	Example: A-002
Size	In hectares (Ha)
Current capacity	KgDM/Ha
Area status	Resting, in use, planting, etc.

2. Paddock Color Codes

Yellow (Rest): the paddock is resting or recovering.
Green (In use): available for grazing or cutting.
Other defined color: you can customize the polygon color by editing the paddock.

3. Interaction with Paddocks

Clicking on an area or paddock icon opens the side panel with quick information:

Last grazing, cutting, fertilization, irrigation, etc.
Accumulated and projected production
Associated costs	Maintenance, fertilization, etc.
Productivity indicators	Daily growth, residual goal, projected capacity, etc.

From the side panel, you can access specific management forms.

Available Forms

1. New Grazing / Crop

Form to record productive land use. Includes:

Field	Detail
Paddock name and code
Area	Ha
Creation/planting date
Crop type and variety
Last grazing and exit date
Post-grazing assessment date and result
Productivity goals	kgDM/Ha and residual
Harvest direction
Paddock color on the map

This form is the same for grazing and crops.

2. New Pen

Similar form to the paddock but intended for animal handling areas:

Associated animal lot
Pen color on the map

3. New Land Use

Paddock: direct grazing
Crop: corn, forage, or others
Fattening pen
Pen: temporary handling or containment
Maternity: births and offspring care
Quarantine: sanitary isolation
Infirmary: treatment of sick animals

Farm Information

At the top, you can open the Farm Information panel, where all paddocks are listed with:

Total area
Current capacity
Daily growth rate
Type of use

Quick Actions from the Map

Edit Farm: change general parameters or polygon colors.
New Area: draw and register new paddocks, pens, or crops.
Paddock side panel: shows detailed operational and productivity information.

Usage Recommendations

Keep grazing and assessment records updated to obtain accurate growth projections.
Define residual and productivity goals for each paddock and compare them with actual capacity.
Use the side panel for pens, maternity, and infirmary to manage animals in specific spaces.
Take advantage of the color-by-area option to visually differentiate types of use (e.g., green = paddock, red = quarantine).
